CSE General closed at 43,526 in Round 1, 50,419 in Round 2 and 43,961 in Round 3. TFWS closed at 16,805, 11,882 and 14,388 respectively. The two categories therefore moved differently through the 2026 counselling rounds.
General moved 6,893 positions between the first two rounds, then returned to a smaller closing number in Round 3. A later round does not necessarily close at a larger rank. These entries apply to PIET and the ACPC merit scale. They do not identify a universal Parul CSE mark or a 2027 admission target.

The TFWS annual entries are 7,728, 12,555, 14,247, 14,761 and 16,805 across the same years. Those annual observations cannot be treated as one round's continuous series. The separate 2026 round-specific figures provide the exact round comparison. Earlier closing ranks describe past seat allocation; future cutoffs depend on the next counselling cycle.

PIET Academic Eligibility and Counselling Confirmation
Regular CSE also requires the stated Class 12 Science subjects and marks, irrespective of a historical closing rank. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory, with a permitted third subject and 45% for General or 40% for the reserved-category route.
Counselling confirmation then depends on the correct institute, branch, category, document checks and acceptance of the current allotment. At current tuition, regular CSE is ₹1.95 lakh annually. Hostel booking is a separate step after programme admission. Thus, school qualification, current allotment and joining payment each establish a different part of the admission.
