- Eligibility and closing ranks are separate
JAIN B.Tech requires 45% in Class 12, or 40% for SC/ST, with Physics, Mathematics and an allowed third subject. These are qualifying marks. The regular engineering admission routes include JET and accepted JEE, COMEDK or KCET results.
MBA written-test exemption uses separate test scales: MAT 550, NMAT 160, GMAT 475, or 50 percentile in CAT, CMAT or XAT. The exemption moves an applicant to extempore and personal interview. It is not a final admission cutoff or a seat allotment.
No single closing rank applies to all JAIN Bengaluru degrees. Course, campus, accepted test and the remaining selection stages determine the relevant route.
JAIN Engineering JET Marks and Practice Paper
The available official B.Tech JET model paper has a 150-mark, 150-minute format. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English carry 30 marks each. Aptitude and Logical Reasoning carry 15 marks each.
The model paper, answer key and Mathematics syllabus are labelled 2026. They explain the previous engineering format and topic coverage. A qualifying school percentage, a model-paper mark and a rank from another accepted entrance exam are different measures and should retain their names.
JAIN Course Qualification Before Selection
Engineering’s Physics–Mathematics requirement does not extend to every JAIN degree. BCA General accepts Class 12/equivalent or the stated Commercial Practice diploma alternative. MBA begins with a recognised bachelor’s degree and at least 50%.
For engineering, IB applicants need 26 credits, and Cambridge applicants require the prescribed A-Level Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combination. NIOS applicants and those awaiting Class 12 results may apply under the published rules.
Course-specific qualification is followed by the applicable entrance, interview, portfolio or counselling process. The minimum school marks alone do not establish a final selection score.
JAIN 2027 Entrance and Counselling Dates
The MBA JET 2027 date remains to be announced. General UG and PG forms for 2027 are available, while engineering uses its own portal and test process.
FET’s displayed written-test dates are 30 April and 1 May 2026. The following result, counselling and fee-payment dates are also from May 2026. They should remain in that cycle rather than becoming an estimated 2027 calendar.
For a new applicant, the course-specific test slot, counselling date and offer-payment deadline are separate stages. The appearance of a 2027 engineering fee table does not supply their dates.
2027 admissions and JET dates
2027 MBA test dates are still to be announced. The visible FET test dates belong to 2026.

Questions students ask about JAIN
Does CAT 50 percentile guarantee a JAIN MBA seat?
No. It is the published threshold for exemption from the JET written test. Extempore and personal interview follow, and the final result depends on those assessments.
