NHCE B.E. admission is available through KCET counselling and the college’s management route. The mandatory disclosure also names KRLMPCA for applicable seats. KEA conducts government-seat counselling; a college enquiry does not replace the KEA application or option-entry process.
The detailed B.E. eligibility rule is 45% in the prescribed Class 12 subject combination, reduced to 40% for eligible Karnataka reserved categories. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory, English must be one of the languages, and the approved third subject may be Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics or Biology.
A confirmed NHCE or KEA admission calendar for 2027 has not been published in the official notices checked. The available college application form is for 2026–27. Earlier entrance and allotment dates below retain their original year. MBA, MCA and M.Tech applicants follow their respective postgraduate admission rules rather than the B.E. schedule.

How to get admission to NHCE
Choose the degree and admission route
B.E. applicants choose a branch and either the applicable KEA/KRLMPCA process or the college’s management application. MBA, MCA and M.Tech follow their own postgraduate entrance rules.
Submit the correct application
For a KCET seat, register with KEA and complete its qualifying details. For a management enquiry, use the official NHCE form. Open the NHCE application ↗
Complete entrance and document verification
KCET candidates take the exam and complete KEA verification. PG candidates use the accepted course-specific test. The college requires the qualifying marks and original documents to match the application.
Enter NHCE and your branch in counselling
For B.E. option entry, use E099. Enter each preferred branch in your chosen order. PG codes in the checked lists are B230 for MBA, C453 for MCA and T850 for M.Tech.
Receive an allotment or written offer
KEA publishes an allotment and instructions for its seats. Management applicants need the college’s course, admission route and itemised fee offer. A payment acknowledgement alone does not identify every remaining charge.
Pay and keep the receipt
Follow the official payment instruction for that route. If an offer-stage tuition advance is credited to the first year, it reduces the tuition balance. Application and refundable deposits retain their own labels.
Report to the college
Bring the admission order or offer, entrance details, marks cards, transfer certificate, photographs and applicable category or migration documents. Use the reporting deadline on your own allotment.
Complete enrolment and hostel booking
Finish the college checks and remaining payments. Hostel allotment requires its fee challan under the hostel rules; the annual accommodation payment is separate from the academic schedule.
For a KCET seat, admission starts with KEA registration and ends with reporting at NHCE. Applicants take the entrance test, complete document verification, enter college and branch preferences, accept an allotment, pay the prescribed amount and report within their allotted deadline. The engineering college code is E099.
Management applicants submit the college application with their qualifying documents. The college checks eligibility and issues the branch and fee offer. For postgraduate counselling, the checked programme codes are B230 for MBA, C453 for MCA and T850 for M.Tech. The admission order identifies the course, route and reporting instructions.
Eligibility for B.E., MBA, MCA and M.Tech
| Course | Qualifying study | Entrance / selection |
|---|---|---|
| B.E. | English; Physics and Mathematics plus approved third subject; 45% / eligible 40% | KCET, applicable KRLMPCA or management route |
| MBA | Recognised bachelor degree; 50% / eligible Karnataka 45% | PGCET, MAT or KMAT under the applicable route |
| MCA | Eligible bachelor degree and Mathematics/Statistics/Computing subject conditions; 50% / eligible 45% | PGCET or KMAT |
| M.Tech CSE | B.E./B.Tech in CSE or Information Science | GATE or PGCET |
| Ph.D. / M.Sc. by Research | VTU’s current research qualification and supervisor requirements | Applicable VTU research selection and interview |
MBA requires 50% across all years of the qualifying bachelor’s degree, or 45% for eligible Karnataka SC, ST and Category I candidates. The college specifies that percentages are not rounded up. MCA also requires the prescribed mathematical or computing subject: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Programming, Applications, Business Mathematics or Business Statistics at degree level, with a stated PUC-level alternative.
M.Tech CSE requires B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Science, with GATE or PGCET. B.E. admission instead uses the Class 12 conditions above. The entrance route and academic eligibility are both required; one does not replace the other.
Documents required for NHCE admission
Class 10, PUC, transfer and category documents
- Class 10 and Class 12/PUC marks cards: originals and two photocopy sets.
- Transfer certificate: original and two photocopy sets.
- Migration certificate for boards outside Karnataka PU.
- Applicable Karnataka category certificate.
- Four passport-size and four stamp-size photographs.
- Entrance score, admission order or college offer and payment receipts.
Additional documents for postgraduate admission
Keep all degree marks cards, the degree or provisional certificate, the applicable entrance scorecard and allotment order. The degree aggregate and subject eligibility are checked for the chosen programme.
The college asks for original Class 10 and Class 12 marks cards, transfer certificate and two sets of photocopies. Its document list also specifies four passport-size and four stamp-size photographs. Students from boards outside Karnataka PU need the applicable migration certificate.
Postgraduate applicants add their degree marks cards. Counselling applicants carry the entrance details and allotment order, while a reservation claim needs the applicable Karnataka category certificate. The name, marks and category on these documents must match the application and admission order.
Questions about NHCE admission
What percentage is required for NHCE B.E. admission?
The detailed B.E. rule requires 45% in Physics, Mathematics and an approved third subject, or 40% for eligible Karnataka reserved categories. English must be a language in the qualifying examination.
What is the KCET college code for NHCE?
NHCE’s engineering college code is E099. Each branch has a separate option within counselling.
