Presidency University’s 2026 KCET General Merit CSE closing rank was 42,385.5 in round 1. It changed to 58,737 in round 2 and 1,16,044 in round 3. AI and Machine Learning closed at 30,234, 38,590 and 55,913 in those rounds. These figures are entrance ranks, not Class 12 percentages.

Postgraduate admissions have a separate Karnataka PGCET rank list. In 2026 round 1, the GM closing ranks included 3,003 for M.Tech AI, 4,916 for MCA and 8,363 for MBA Business Analytics. A KCET rank does not apply to those postgraduate courses.

The 2026 KCET GM results show different levels of demand across engineering branches. In round 1, ECE closed at 37,291, Cyber Security at 42,229 and Data Science at 44,591. By round 3, the corresponding ranks were 73,063, 94,317 and 1,23,304.

A larger closing-rank number in a later round means that allotment reached farther down that rank list. Category and round must match when two results are compared. The table retains each field rather than presenting one number as the cutoff for every applicant.

The B.Tech subject requirement is 45% in the specified Class 12 subjects together, or 40% for eligible reserved-category candidates. That is the academic minimum. It does not replace an entrance rank or an allotment requirement.

For postgraduate computing, MCA accepts graduation with 50%, or 45% for eligible reserved-category applicants, with Mathematics at school or degree level preferred. An applicant seeking a PGCET seat also follows that examination’s eligibility and counselling rules.

The 2027 closing ranks will be known after the relevant counselling allotments. Previous ranks describe completed rounds; they are not an announced 2027 qualifying score.
