LPU does not use one cutoff for every degree and admission route. B.Tech selection involves qualifying academic marks, an accepted entrance result and the applicable counselling process. LPUNEST scholarship categories determine a tuition award and are separate from a branch’s seat-allotment outcome.

A 60% Class 12 requirement for general CSE is an academic eligibility rule. It is not an LPUNEST closing rank or a guarantee of CSE admission. A verified branch-, category- and round-wise numerical closing table for 2027 is not yet available. Admission follows the course’s accepted test route, preference entry and allotment.

For general B.Tech CSE, Class 12 requires 60% aggregate with Physics, Mathematics and English, subject to qualifying LPUNEST, JEE Main or CUET. The university specifies an English-medium waiver and a 5% marks relaxation for defined regional, defence and Kashmiri-migrant categories.

Other engineering branches can accept different subject combinations. MBA uses a graduation requirement rather than Class 12 eligibility, and a design or architecture route may require a different entrance process. The marks and subjects attached to the exact degree determine whether the applicant can enter its selection process.

Round I branch preferences run from 8 to 10 February 2027, after the scheduled result on 8 February. Round I allotment is on 12 February, and the admission period is 12–20 February. Round II preference entry runs from 12 to 20 February, followed by allotment on 22 February and admission from 22 to 28 February.

Each allotted course has its payment and verification requirements. The entrance result, preference order and allotment are successive stages; paying for the test kit alone does not confirm a branch. The admission schedule covers the examinations before counselling.
