Library, classrooms and practical study

The facilities include a central library, classrooms, pharmacy and biotechnology labs, a moot court and a cafeteria.

The campus has facilities for several different disciplines. Pharmacy and biotechnology have practical laboratories; law students have a moot-court facility. The university also lists a central library, cafeteria, computer facilities and sports areas.

The boys’ and girls’ hostels are named Tygore Boys Hostel and Gargi Girls Hostel. Students can choose from the published AC and non-AC room plans. Reviews are mixed on food, classroom air conditioning, hostel timings and maintenance, while several students speak positively about teachers and the library. See the room-wise hostel fees.

Why choose SRMU, and why might you skip it?

Reasons students choose SRMU

  • A broad course choice: engineering, computer applications, management, pharmacy, law, agriculture and other streams are available on one campus.
  • Named hostel choices with published charges: the non-AC three-seater plan is ₹80,000 a year before the first-year hostel caution.
  • Different fee levels: four-year Agriculture cash fees are ₹2,54,900, compared with ₹6,14,900 for regular CSE.
  • Student comments on teaching: the selected BCA, pharmacy, engineering and diploma reviews describe approachable or supportive faculty.
  • Scholarship routes: the current scheme includes merit, optional SRMUSET and specific-category awards.

Reasons some students may choose another college

  • The residential cost is higher than the course fee: CSE reaches ₹9,39,900 with four years of the current non-AC triple room plan, before application.
  • Highest CTC has limited context: the published ₹53 LPA highest and ₹4.5 LPA average highlights have no stated batch year.
  • Engineering outcomes vary: the NIRF 2025 submission records 188 placements among 250 engineering graduates in 2023–24, with ₹3.40 LPA median CTC.
  • Internship support receives criticism: Riddhima Singh and Kartik Agarwal describe difficulties with internships in their reviews.
  • Hostel and classroom concerns: food, maintenance, strict timings and classroom air conditioning appear in detailed student accounts.

SRMU’s course choice and fee range are clear strengths for applicants comparing several fields. The trade-offs become clearer at programme level: a regular MBA, BCA and CSE do not have the same duration, cost or placement cohort.

The published salary highlights and the dated NIRF figures describe different things. The former give a highest and an average without a batch year; the latter show graduates, placements and the median for a defined academic year. The placement page keeps these figures separate.
