Year-wise payments
| Year | Academic cash payment | Hostel + food | Hostel deposit | Application | Total |

The regular CSE cash total is ₹6,14,900 for four years, before application and accommodation. It includes ₹6,09,900 in academic charges and ₹5,000 refundable academic caution. With the current non-AC three-seater hostel and its caution, the total becomes ₹9,39,900. Adding application makes it ₹9,40,900.
The planner covers all 133 non-Ph.D. courses with published payment tables, as well as separately labelled longer schedules. It adds hostel charges only for the selected study length. The Ph.D. fee structure is explained separately because the registered duration affects the final amount.
Fixed academic and hostel rates are labelled 2026–27. Current duration-specific programme tables retain their own three-year, two-year or other study length. The university has not published a confirmed 2027–28 fee schedule.

The first year includes the academic caution deposit. For regular CSE, tuition is ₹1,10,500 a year; examination, other academic and development charges bring the normal annual course fee to ₹1,52,000. A ₹100 annual welfare charge and first-year ₹5,000 caution produce the ₹1,57,100 first-year payment.
In CSE years two and three, cash payment is ₹1,52,100 each. The final year is ₹1,53,600 because it includes ₹500 alumni and ₹1,000 degree charges. These final-year items are already inside the totals shown here.
Regular MBA has ₹1,50,100 in the first year and ₹1,46,600 in the second. The three-year BCA and BBA tables have their final-year charges in year three. They are not multiplied into the separate four-year schedules.
What is paid when applying and confirming a seat?
| Payment | Published amount | Treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Application processing · regular courses | ₹1,000 | Non-refundable; separate from course fees |
| Application processing · polytechnic | ₹500 | Non-refundable; separate from course fees |
| Registration step in portal | ₹10,000 or more | Course-specific payment instructions determine the amount due |
| Academic caution · regular Major Courses | ₹5,000 | Included once in first-year academic payment |
| Hostel caution | ₹5,000 | Separate first-year accommodation deposit |
The application-processing fee is paid at the application stage. SRMU’s later registration instructions allow a payment of ₹10,000 or more. The portal instructions do not establish a universal extra ₹10,000 charge on top of every consolidated course total.
The calculator therefore shows the complete published academic schedule and the separate application charge. Registration and the amount due for seat confirmation follow the programme’s payment instructions. Academic and hostel caution are different deposits; both are shown where accommodation is selected.
Gargi and Tygore hostel fees

| Non-AC double-seater · Gargi / Tygore | ₹1,05,000 | ₹5,000 | ₹1,10,000 |
| Non-AC single-seater · Gargi / Tygore | ₹1,50,000 | ₹5,000 | ₹1,55,000 |

Accommodation at SRMU
The university names Gargi Girls Hostel and Tygore Boys Hostel. Its published hostel policy includes mess and maintenance charges.
Gargi Girls Hostel and Tygore Boys Hostel have four published room plans. Non-AC three-seater accommodation costs ₹80,000 a year. AC three-seater and non-AC double-seater rooms cost ₹1,05,000 a year. Non-AC single occupancy costs ₹1,50,000 a year. Each plan has ₹5,000 hostel caution in the first year.
The hostel policy includes mess and maintenance, so the fee planner does not add a second food bill. A four-year non-AC three-seater stay costs ₹3,20,000 plus ₹5,000 caution at the published annual rate. A three-year stay costs ₹2,40,000 plus the same one-time caution.
Annual bus transport costs ₹35,000. Bus charges are separate and are not automatically added to a hostel budget. The current annual rates are used across the selected duration in the planner; later-year revisions, if any, would change those living costs.
Which other charges are included in the total?
Examinations, development and academic charges
The consolidated schedules split the course fee into tuition, examination, other academic and development charges. These are included in the academic total and are not added again. The detailed Major Course tables show the components.
Welfare fund, alumni and degree charges
The applicable schedules have a ₹100 annual Student Welfare Fund. Regular degree courses also show ₹500 alumni and ₹1,000 degree charges in the final year. Course-specific exceptions, such as research and some part-time schedules, retain their published terms.
Transport and personal spending
The published ₹35,000 annual bus charge is separate from academic fees. Personal travel, purchases and spending outside the hostel plan are outside the calculator. Hostel mess is already included in its published room plan.
A tuition-only figure understates the complete academic payment. For CSE, tuition adds to ₹4,42,000 across four years, while the full non-refundable academic charges are ₹6,09,900. Examination, development, other charges, welfare and the final-year items explain the difference.
