Why choose IPE Hyderabad, and where does it fall short?

Why students choose IPE

  • A long-running management institute: IPE dates to 1964; its flagship PGDM began in 1995.
  • Six PGDM choices: general management, finance, marketing, international business, HR and analytics are available under the same published fee schedule.
  • Five established programmes have MBA equivalence: the prospectus identifies PGDM, MM, BFS, IB and HRM.
  • Campus accommodation includes meals: the published double-occupancy AC plan is ₹1.20 lakh a year.
  • Teachers and facilities: reviewers discuss accessible teachers, the library, classroom infrastructure and sports facilities.

Why some students may skip IPE

  • Full cost exceeds tuition: two-year cash payments reach ₹11.55 lakh with the current double-occupancy hostel plan, including the academic deposit.
  • Placement is not universal: the institute’s 2025 summary shows an 81.4% placement rate and ₹7.02 LPA average CTC.
  • Shamirpet is outside the city centre: commuting and hostel rules feature in student reviews.
  • Food receives mixed feedback: one detailed student account calls hostel food average.
  • Business Analytics is newer: it lacks the long course-specific track record of the older PGDMs and is outside the prospectus’s NBA/AIU equivalence statement.

The clearest trade-off at IPE is between its established PGDM programmes, residential campus and the cost of a two-year stay. The published academic fee is the same across the six PGDM courses. Programme recognition and the length of the placement record, however, differ.

The student accounts below include both positive experiences and concerns. The concerns relate to food, travel, workload and hostel rules, rather than a single overall campus experience.
