Kalasalingam Cutoff 2027 and Qualifying Marks
| Course / route | Published minimum | Additional requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Regular B.Tech CSE | 50% PCM in Class 12 | Engineering entrance / JEE and selection |
| BCA | 50% Class 12 | Mathematics compulsory; stated common entrance/merit |
| MBA | 50% bachelor’s degree | Qualifying merit; CAT/MAT/TANCET shortlisting also listed |
| Diploma lateral entry | 60% last-two-semester average | Relevant 3-year diploma and branch |
The regular CSE qualifying requirement is at least 50% in Class 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This is the minimum academic condition for the standard engineering route. It is different from an entrance-test closing rank after counselling.
KARE accepts the university engineering entrance route and JEE Main under its engineering admission guide. Programme allotment depends on merit, preferences and available seats. There is no confirmed numerical 2027 closing rank here; the marks requirement therefore cannot be used to estimate a student's admission chance or CSE allotment.
Kalasalingam Engineering Subject Requirements
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics form the regular engineering subject combination. Students with Physics, Chemistry and Biology have a restricted route to Biotechnology and Food Technology in the university's engineering guide. This Biology route does not establish eligibility for regular CSE.
NIOS students may apply under the stated school qualification and subject conditions. Lateral-entry engineering uses a relevant diploma rather than the regular Class 12 route and requires 60% average across the diploma's final two semesters. Entrance selection and certificate verification follow the applicable academic qualification.
Kalasalingam Entrance Exams and Seat Allocation
| Programme | Named route |
|---|---|
| Engineering | KUEE / JEE Main on programme page; KEEE in 2025 regulation |
| B.Arch | NATA and school marks |
| MBA | Qualifying-degree merit; CAT / MAT / TANCET shortlisting |
| BCA | University common entrance and Class 12 merit |
The B.Tech admission guide names KUEE and JEE Main. The university's 2025 engineering regulations refer to its engineering entrance examination as KEEE and describe admission through merit and programme allocation. Applicants follow the examination instructions attached to their intake.
Counselling connects an entrance result with the student's programme choices and seat availability. A qualifying score or the minimum school marks alone does not specify the branch allotted. Architecture has its own NATA-based selection, while MBA uses qualifying-degree merit and the named management entrance routes.
Kalasalingam JEE Main Scholarship Rank Bands
| CSE / AI & DS JEE Main rank | Dated 2026–27 tuition-award band |
|---|---|
| 1–25,000 | 100% |
| 25,001–50,000 | 70% |
| 50,001–1,00,000 | 60% |
| 1,00,001–2,00,000 | 40% |
CSE/AI & DS scholarship bands for 2026–27 are 100% through rank 25,000, 70% at 25,001–50,000, 60% at 50,001–1,00,000 and 40% at 1,00,001–2,00,000. These bands describe tuition awards.
IT/ECE has 100% through rank 50,000, 70% at 50,001–1,00,000 and 40% at 1,00,001–2,00,000. Other B.Tech branches have 100%, 75% and 50% across those respective ranges. A scholarship rank is not a final admission closing rank. Eligibility, counselling and scholarship approval remain separate stages.
JEE Main Papers for Kalasalingam Engineering Preparation
JEE Main is one of KARE's stated engineering admission routes. The January 21, 2026 shift-one paper is a completed national-exam paper, useful for practising that route's question format and subject coverage. Other shifts have their own questions and solutions.
The practice-paper collection belongs to JEE Main. KARE's university entrance examination has separate instructions, so a national-exam paper cannot establish its exact pattern, duration or cutoff. The admission route selected by the applicant determines which examination result enters counselling.

A Kalasalingam seat is confirmed through programme allotment, certificate verification and the required payment by the offer deadline. The engineering regulations connect allocation to merit, programme preferences and seat availability.
The minimum 50% PCM requirement establishes academic eligibility for regular engineering, while an entrance result supports selection. The allotment then identifies the actual branch. Scholarship approval is another decision and applies only to the amount and period stated in the award. These stages explain why eligibility marks, scholarship bands and final admission status describe different outcomes.
Kalasalingam Cutoff FAQs
Is the 50% PCM requirement a CSE closing cutoff?
It is the minimum school-marks requirement for the standard engineering route. Programme allotment also depends on entrance merit, preferences and seats.
Are JEE scholarship ranks admission cutoffs?
No. The 2026–27 JEE bands determine tuition-scholarship categories. Counselling and admission eligibility are separate.
