Kalasalingam's four-year engineering UG group recorded 1,507 placed students from 1,610 graduates in 2024–25, with a ₹6.35 lakh median annual salary. Another 53 graduates proceeded to higher studies. Placements divided by all graduates equal approximately 93.6% for this reported group.

The two-year engineering PG group had 105 placements from 110 graduates and a ₹7 lakh median. Management PG recorded 108 placements from 120 graduates and a ₹5.77 lakh median. These are graduating-cohort results in the NIRF 2026 submissions; they do not isolate CSE or predict a 2027 graduate's salary.

Engineering UG placements increased from 1,219 in 2022–23 to 1,359 in 2023–24 and 1,507 in 2024–25. The corresponding median salaries were ₹6.75 lakh, ₹6.10 lakh and ₹6.35 lakh annually. The latest median rose ₹25,000 from the previous cohort but remained ₹40,000 below 2022–23.

Engineering PG medians across those years were ₹7 lakh, ₹6.60 lakh and ₹7 lakh. The undergraduate figures cover the four-year engineering group across branches. The median is the midpoint salary among placed graduates; it is separate from an average or the maximum offer.

Management PG placements were 108 out of 120 graduates in 2024–25, equivalent to 90% of the graduating group. The median salary was ₹5.77 lakh annually and five graduates proceeded to higher studies.

In 2023–24, 45 out of 120 graduates were placed at a ₹3.60 lakh median. The 2022–23 group had 48 placements from 115 graduates and a ₹3 lakh median. The latest cohort therefore increased both placement count and median salary. These results concern the reported campus management group; the online MBA has a separate study mode.

KARE's placement webpage associates a ₹50 lakh highest CTC with Nutanix. Its 2026 brochure separately carries a ₹53 LPA highest CTC, ₹5 LPA average, 2,800+ offers and 1,000+ internships. A common graduating batch is not given for these figures.

Companies named in the university's recruitment material include Amazon, Cognizant, IBM, HCL, TVS Motors and Tech Mahindra. Internship collaborations include L&T, IBM and Dell. Offer totals may include multiple offers to one student, whereas the NIRF tables count placed graduates. The dated ₹6.35 lakh engineering UG median provides a different measure from the maximum package.

Chrispa Daniel, an IT graduate from the 2016–20 batch, joined Legato Health Technologies. Myvizhipriya Thangaraj from IT's 2013–17 batch is identified as a Senior Analyst at Capgemini. S. Mohammed Sabiq, from the 2009–13 cohort, is a Senior Engineer at Renault Nissan.

The management programme also names Subathra P from the 2018–20 MBA batch as an HR Coordinator at Cognizant. These individual accounts illustrate roles across software, automotive engineering and human resources. They do not provide salaries for each alumnus or a common graduating-batch placement rate.

The Office of Corporate Relations organises mock interviews, group discussions, communication workshops and company-specific preparation. Career guidance begins from the first year, with industry HR managers also contributing to final-year training.

Final-year internships provide another route to industry experience. KARE describes cases in which internships convert into employment and cases combining a job with an internship. The university names L&T, IBM and Dell among department collaborations. Internship participation and the final job role depend on the student, branch and employer; the engineering placement totals do not identify every graduate's job function.

Regular CSE's ₹8.28 lakh academic budget is about 1.30 times the ₹6.35 lakh engineering UG median annual salary. Adding four years of the ₹80,000 non-AC room and the ₹600 application gives ₹11,48,600, about 1.81 times that salary, before any separately charged meals.

The academic budget uses 2026–27 rates, while the salary belongs to the 2024–25 engineering graduating group. This compares study cost with one year of gross annual salary; taxes, living expenses, loan interest and the student's actual job package affect personal repayment. MBA has its own ₹5.77 lakh management median.
